Victory Day Basketball Match – 2023

On December 16, 2023, BAHK organized a basketball match to celebrate the Victory Day of Bangladesh. The community’s youth formed teams and participated in the tournament, which was enjoyed by community members.

Victory Day Celebration – 2023

BAHK and Bangla School celebrated the Victory Day of Bangladesh on December 16, 2023. The BAHK Executive Committee attended the celebration program at the Consulate General Office of Bangladesh. Additionally, BAHK Bangla School celebrated Victory Day at the school, showcasing traditional spirits and cultural beliefs.

Meeting with BSAHK Newly Elected EC Members and BSAHK Picnic 2023

On November 14, 2022, a joint meeting was held at BAHK’s office with the newly elected EC members of BSAHK. The meeting discussed enhancing collaboration between the two organizations in the future. BAHK assured full support to BSAHK for the betterment of Bangladeshi students in Hong Kong. Additionally, BAHK EC members attended BSAHK’s annual picnic on November 19, 2023, upon invitation.

2nd – Qira’at Competition 2023

Bangla School participated in the Qira’at Competition on November 4, 2023, organized by New Home Association, Hong Kong. Two students from Bangla School secured 1st and 6th positions in the competition and received awards.

Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (S.A.W.) 2023

On October 2, 2023, the Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (S.A.W.) was observed with great fervour and enthusiasm at the Community Hall of Kowloon Masjid. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Islamic Scholar, Sayed Jalaluddin Al-Azhari from Bangladesh, who delivered an enlightening discourse as the chief speaker, joined by other esteemed speakers, discussing the importance of the Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (S.A.W.). The community members participated and celebrated the day with religious devotion and solemnity.

Yau Tsim Mong Multi-Cultural Bazaar 2023

The New Home Association & District Council organized a Multi-Cultural Bazaar on September 17, 2023, at 59, Battery Street, Jordan, Kowloon. BAHK’s Cultural team performed a parade, and BAHK also had a food stall named ‘Bangla Bazar’ offering traditional Bangladeshi cuisine. The Consul General of the Bangladesh Consulate General in Hong Kong, BAHK EC, and community members attended the event. It was a wonderful celebration of different cultures and traditions, bringing people together in a
joyful atmosphere.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023 was successfully held on August 25, 2023, at the MAC Hall at 59, Battery Street, Jordan, Kowloon. Members of the association actively participated in the meeting. The event was not only productive but also provided an opportunity for members to connect and engage in fruitful discussions. As a token of appreciation, attendees were treated to thoughtful gifts, informative newsletters, delicious snacks, and dinner. With the collective engagement and enthusiasm of the attendees, the AGM concluded successfully, setting the stage for a promising future.

Multi-Cultural Football Tournament 2023

BAHK’s Football Team took part in the Multi-Cultural Football Tournament 2023, organized by DAB. The tournament was held on August 19, 2023, in Yuen Long, as part of the celebrations for the 26th anniversary of HKSAR’s return to the motherland.

Eid-ul-Adha Reunion on 8 July 2023  

BAHK arranged an Eid-ul-Adha reunion program for its members on 08 July 2022 at the Pakistan Club. Honorable Consuls of the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Hong Kong, BAHK members, and their family members attended the event to celebrate Eid together.
